What do I need to wear in the woods?

~ your common sense ~ and a weather app (!) will let you know how many layers you need to wear and bring.

~ please always wear long trousers and tops.  This is to protect you from the elements, brambles and insect bites, unlikely in December !

~ waterproof coat and if possible waterproof trousers.

~ wellies/walking shoes as the ground is often wet and there will be a short walk into the woods.

PLEASE don’t feel you have to buy any new kit ~ I hope that there are friends and family that have things you could borrow. If you do want to expand your wardrobe Decathlon and other outdoor shops have a wide range of waterproof and cosy options.

What do I need to bring to the woods?

~ a small rucksack or bag for your an extra layer, hat, gloves and perhaps extra socks? A water bottle and reusable cup with a lid.

~ any specific medication  you need to have with you.

Do I need to bring my own food and snacks?

~ hot drinks and snacks are available all day. They will include diary free, vegetarian and vegan. If there are any food/ingredient allergies within the group provision will be adapted.

~ however, I will not be remotely offended if you bring something of your own that brings you joy.

~ equally plates, bowls and crockery is provided, but again please feel free to bring your own if you would prefer.

Is there anything else I could slip into my luggage?

well as you have asked…….

~ IF you have them ~ your own gardening gloves. I have outdoor gloves, but the more the merrier!

~ IF you have them secateurs for Friday morning.
